Simple Cards

Nothing like a simple card to brighten up a child's day.  I believe these Snoopy stamped images just might do that for my grandsons.

justjohanna stamps....

Products: patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket (Dutch Girl Collection); card stock: Paper Company; Stamps: justjohanna. sentiment (bottom card), flower box (top card); antique brass round: Imaginisce; ribbon: sheer creation

design note: on the top card all you do is cut off 1 1/4 inches from the bottom end of the folded card, then use red line tape to adhere the "kick stand" to the card bottom. Use a large punch or make your own cut out to make the "kick stand leg".

Red, White and Blue

July 4th is a double celebration in my family for not only is it a day we celebrate our nation's birthday but it's also my younger brother's birthday. The color scheme is always red, white and blue to portray the celebration of these events.

The following birthday card products were used: stamps from just johanna and Just For Fun; brads from Making Memories; paper from Doodlebug and Bazzill.

Flower card products that were used: Doodlebug Rub on stitches; Paper from Creative Imagination and Bazzill; brads from Karen Foster; Ghost from Heidi Swapp; tag from Doodlebug; ribbon unknown. (Inspiration for this card came from Kathy, with my own spin on her design.)

Liberty card products that were used: stamp from Paper Impression; paper from Creative Imagination and Bazzill; tag from Doodlebug.

Complimentary Copy

A complimentary copy of RubberStampMadness Magazine (July/August 2007 Issue) arrived today at my doorstep which featured a card from a call on the theme "wings" that I had submitted. The article by Karen Sweeny-Justice includes several different cards from rubber stamp artist and how they achieved their final results, as I answered when interviewed.
The card I named Journey, I used a technique that I put color directly onto the stamp and then stamp the image onto paper, the results are always surprising for so much depends on the amount of ink placed on the rubber and the pressure one uses in stamping the image for example.
Well its always exciting to see your work published, so thanks for letting me TOOT!
