Don't Change That Channel....(The Great Outdoor Card Published)

"As americans we watch a lot of TV, several hours a day on average. But rubber stampers are busy stamping and don't have as much time for television----unless, of course, their TV is stamped. The theme was to include a small screen in one's artwork." wrote M. Malan

So I excepted the challenge for RubberStampMadness Magazine and my card now appears in their magazine Nov./Dec./Jan Issue on page 51.

My card was named the Great Outdoors and in my interview this was written in the magazine: I'm a modern day camper. No tent camping for me. I love all the comforts of home while I'm away--and that includes a TV set, not to mention a few other luxuries motor homes offer.

Stamp credits: Outdoor trek-Close to My Heart; road trip- Inkadinkado; TV unknown. Prismacolor and Copic markers were used.

Mixed Media Monday....Metal/Metallics

Mixed Media Monday's challenge for this week is metal and/or metallics. I chose to use metal

charms in my work. Stamp is by Artful Illusions.

Sorry for the scan however with the bulk of the card I wasn't able to get a good scan. However I enjoyed this challenge for it got my creative juices going after being gone a few days on a camping trip.

Wednesday Stampers

The challenge this week is DRESS. A dress makes a woman so feminine. So we are to think modern, funny or historical our choice at Wednesday's Stampers.

Working on.....

Arrrrr! it's a grandsons birthday coming up within a few days so working on a card for him.  No frills, no bows and no girly saying will do. 

Note the back ground paper was done by making squiggle lines using a marker.  It gives the appearance of water.  I then stamped my image, cut it out and placed it in a slit I made in the background paper.

Southwest Card

Having lived in Arizona, I was able to accumulate several stamps fitting of the area.  However living now in the Midwest I don't often get a chance to show off some of these beautiful detailed stamps that I own.  This stamp is made by Taylored Artworks, who make a wide range of stamps reflecting the southwest.

Marvin Moose

Well their are no moose in our area but I do love this stamp of  "Marvin Moose"  a stamp by Whipper Snapper.  

I surfed around and found some cute sayings that can be used with this stamps.....

1. Merry Moosemas!  (great for a Christmas Card)

2. It Moose be love  (Valentine's Day)

3. Will do moose things for stamps

4. Hand stamped under the influences of chocolate moose.

5. I moosed up please forgive me.

Winter.....

The card above was inspired by our weather here in Illinois.  This is a view outside my back door.  Bitter cold is the only forecast I'm hearing these days so even sledding and ice skating isn't even in the picture. We are even being warned to leave our snow mobiles parked because of the frigid weather.
