A two page layout I worked on this past weekend of my grandson. He's really an angel but I did catch him in a moment he wasn't going to be taken advantage of by his older brother.

Missing in Action

Sorry no post the last few days, I've been participating in a cyber crop at Self-Addressed (a monthly card and mini album kit club) since Friday. I completed 20 projects and now will be in a drawing for a prize....yipee!

Didn't win, but thats ok....had fun and above you can see a couple of projects I completed during the crop.

Stickeroos

Penny Black came out with these "stickerbilities" as she calls them, they are stickers that one can use to customize envelopes, scrapbook pages, greeting cards, and altered items. I chose to create a card in which I added a little bling to them.

Technique Thursday

Embellish stamped images, doodle a background, or create something completely from scratch was the challenge this week on Technique Thursday. I chose to draw a couple of hearts in the corner and doodle around the patterned paper on this card.

All About Me Birthday...

Yesterday was my birthday...... I baked a cake, had the family over for dinner and scraped the rest of the evening in my craft room. I wanted to have an All About Me birthday where I just enjoy the day doing what I enjoy most and that is what I did. And by the way, yesterday I turned 62, and I'm OK with that, lets face it I'm now officially a senior citizen ! So in honor of the day I did a small scrapbook page of me, I used all the left-over papers from my previous post.

Fun Flock

Stampendous makes a product called Fun Flock in which you apply adhesive to an area to be flocked. Sprinkle with Fun Flock and gently press down, as I did on the bird. Allow the adhesive to dry, tap off excess flock.

Paper sets the mood...

If you are ever in Bourbonnais, Il. stop in at Scrap-n-Crazy Store at 451 South Main Street. The owners Leah and Brenda are probably the most friendly and accommodating ladies I know of who will make your shopping experience a pleasure. I purchased the Beach Party collection by Reminisce from them this past week. This set me in the mood to do a fun summertime layout.

Happy 4th of July/Thank You/Great News

Thank You....

Just want to say thank you to my cousin and her husband for their hospitality while we visited with them the last two days up in Coloma, Michigan. Their home is located on a channel of Paw Paw Lake so we enjoyed not only the company, but a scenic view and life on water front property. I have no pictures to show for I had forgotten my camera, but we have plans on going up again this year for a small family reunion .

Great News....

While checking my email on my return, I got notice I was a finalist for a layout for the cover of ScrapStreet Magazine. Now I have to sit on pin and needles while they make their finally decision and their August issue is released to see who made the cover, however all finalist will have their work pictured in the magazine and that alone is making me jump for JOY!

Cup of Cheer

Starting this blog now gives me a chance to show off the the whimsical art stamps of justjohanna that I have the privilege of working with for over a year now. As a member of her design team its been a wonderful experience not only working with her but also with the other team members for they have been so supportive and encouraging. Since I'll be going away for a couple of days, I had to post a card that I worked on today using justjohanna stamps.

Get Well Wish

Is this not the cutest stamp.......made by Judith, I just love the little guy and had to make a card using him. I chose to use it on a Get Well themed card and hope it brings a smile to someone who isn't feeling up to par.
