Technique Thursday Embossing

We are to dust off all those cute little bottles of iridescent powders and UTEE as this weeks challenge and see what we could create. I chose to do a southwest theme card.
To give the card texture, I sprinkled Cloisonne' High Gloss Granules over my card and with a heat gun I melted the granules from the underside of the card.

How To Entertain Children....

A fun way, I found to amuse my grandsons is to pull out all my rubber stamps and have them create a card with me ( now this is a bit rough). With Halloween fast approaching we created a card using a variety of justjohanna stamps. Our little card definitely tells a story .........Products: stamps: justjohanna ( short house, 549 small bat, 425 pumpkin, 284 spring tree, 407 ghost bird); card stock: paper company; few punches, (moon, ghost, witch); markers, water colors and chalk all used to create this FUN FUN FUN card.

Christmas Card Idea Continued with Gift Box

What does one do with left over papers......as you can see from the card I posted yesterday I designed 3 more cards plus a small gift box using the left over paper. The gift box is called 2, 4, 6, 8 because you score your paper at that point, then add another 1/2 in score line. Turn your paper and score 2" from the bottom, and cut away the 2 1/2" rectangle that forms. Fold on all score lines and shape your box.
Sentiment on the gift box: justjohanna stamp(just for you 686)

Flight Into Color

I've been working hard on using up patterned paper and embellishments I have been hording for a period of time. This card is the result of my left-over paper that just isn't enough to do much else with but make a card. I also include a justjohanna stamp, who I believe just adds to a finished picture of my flight into color on this card.
This card Products: stamp: justjohanna (Danielle 269); patterned paper & Feltz: Junkitz; Rub-ons: Three Bugs In A Rug; card stock: Bazzill

Technique Thursday Attachments

This weeks challenge is to think of fun and different ways to "attach" embellishments, paper, fibers, to our projects. My favorite way is using a double stick strip on embellishments for it gives the card dimension. As in the first card for it elevates the tag. I also tried using eyelets for the first time to attach a tag as in the second sample of this weeks challenge.

Products: Eeeeek Card!.....tag and patterned paper: Martha Stewart; eyelets extra large: We Are Memory Keepers; sticky strips: Therm O Web; card stock: Bazzill
