The Whole Tribe WAS Together

What a wonderful holiday weekend we had and pictures of it can be found on my facebook page.

Some of the things we did this past week was to tour the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, the Studebaker National Museum, the Center for History, the Studebaker Mansion. We had dinner at the Tippecanoe Place ( fine dining in an elegant, historic setting which was the home of Clement Studebaker in the 1880's). We also viewed art work by Frank Lloyd Wright of the homes he built, which I truly enjoyed viewing. Several of the home I have seen and toured also in the past.

We then spend a few days at my cousin home on Lake Paw Paw in Coloma, Michigan for a family gathering on the 4th. This is always a fun time for there are boat rides, games to play, swimming, fishing, camp fires, fireworks and lot of good food.

We will be leaving and going to Mackinaw, Il, ClearLake, Ia and then to Forest City, Ia for a Grand National Rally and back home around the 25th.

Home from State Rally.....

Pictures from our Illinois Indians Winnebago-Itasca State Club Rally held this past weekend that my husband and I attended. The theme was Woodstock in remembrance of 40 years gone by.

Escaping To Nature.....

Theme Woodstock....

Will be going off to a State Rally..... and this years theme for the rally is Woodstock, the theme will also be carried over to our National Rally in July. So for those not old enough to know about Woodstock I'll try and explain.

Woodstock was to be a Music and Art Fair that was conceived by 4 young entrepreneurs. Their plan was to offer rock's biggest names in music for a 3 day event. However it turned to be a nightmare for they didn't plan on the crowds that came so they had inadequate sanitation,, traffic back-ups, not enough food to feed the crowds and a cloud burst that turned the area into a mud bowl. Still nearly a half-million young people assembled peaceably.

Woodstock took place in 1969 and our Winnebago-Itasca Travelers club has been gathering since 1969 however in Forest City, Ia., so that is how this years theme came about. (Winnebago is calling it WITstock.)

12 on the 12th.

Our monthly camping trip with the Windy City Winnie's fell on June 12th, so pictures were not a problem for this months 12 on the 12th. As a group we are very active and the above pictures reflex some of our activities on the 12th of June.
