Sun Flower Power

We unsuccessfully grew sunflowers this year in our yard however to my delight wild sunflower plants popped up in the fields behind our home. That inspired me to design this card using Graphic43 Paper (Happy Haunting Collection) and the stamp is from Rubber Stampede (an oldie).

Why Change?

  Since I've been away for the winter I come home to a blogger site change....grrrrrr

So excuse me for awhile, as I try and figure out the new look they have created here.

Only took me several tries to post this simple card I recently made.  Hope to show you more of my work in the near future.

All Occasion Card

Been busy rearranging.....

I've been busy going through all my art supplies for days now. The worst job has been sorting out collections of papers, by theme or manufacturer. All I can say I can finish out my life without ever having to buy another sheet of patterned paper, but will I? Next on my list is to sort out embellishments.....

So with that being said I did find time to make a card the other day and post it above. Hope you like it.

Cat-titude and Cold Cucumber Soup

Having an abundance of cucumbers in my garden I started to search for a recipe to use them up. I found one that fit the bill for it uses 6 pounds of cucumbers. However it also hosted a several other ingredients as peppers, green onions, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, mint, dill, garlic, cayenne pepper, Bayou Blast seasoning, plain yogurt, sour cream, olive oil and white wine vinegar. After mixing all the ingredients just put into a blender. (note: I used a food processor for just yesterday I gave my blender away saying I rarely use it and my daughter-in-law broke hers and needed one to make the boys their drinks.)

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve the soup with each bowl garnished with a dollop of sour cream and chives. Results: Great taste, and refreshing on a hot summer day.

Playing with INKs

Last night I played with a new ink pad I recently purchased. The pad is made by Marvv and its from their signature series called Dee Gruenig Blending Blox (Shades of Green). I also used a stamp by Posh ( 3 Dotted Squares) and one by The Rubbernecker (Butterfly). The card stock is by Stamp A Mania (White Glossy).
