Christmas Card Idea and A Great Find
stamp: Hero Arts
Just sharing my find for storing my clear stamps. These small 3-ring binders (6x8) made by Stampabilities ( The Paper Studio) have pockets that hold all my clear stamps. Refill pages can be purchased for the binders. I purchased these binders at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook section.

Don't Change That Channel....(The Great Outdoor Card Published)
"As americans we watch a lot of TV, several hours a day on average. But rubber stampers are busy stamping and don't have as much time for television----unless, of course, their TV is stamped. The theme was to include a small screen in one's artwork." wrote M. Malan
So I excepted the challenge for RubberStampMadness Magazine and my card now appears in their magazine Nov./Dec./Jan Issue on page 51.
My card was named the Great Outdoors and in my interview this was written in the magazine: I'm a modern day camper. No tent camping for me. I love all the comforts of home while I'm away--and that includes a TV set, not to mention a few other luxuries motor homes offer.
Stamp credits: Outdoor trek-Close to My Heart; road trip- Inkadinkado; TV unknown. Prismacolor and Copic markers were used.

Making a Calendar Page (HOW I DID IT)
For my Stampin&Taggin Friends......
2.) Next Stamp your images
3.) After you stamp all your images color them in, I used markers.
4.) Scan your finished calendar and take it to a program to resize it. I used Photoshop and resized it to 4 1/2 x 41/2 in. I then mounted it onto a solid piece of card stock and then onto patterned paper. So finished size is then 6 x 6.
note: on step three I printed out 12 finished calendars cut them out to size and then mounted them on patterned paper for each member who is working on this years calendar. If embellishments are being used you can then add them at this point.

Burgoo Festival 2009
This weekend I attended the Burgoo Festival as you will read below. So on my home coming this is the first card I decided to make after being inspired by the fall colors and weather I experienced during this latest camping trip.
Stamp by Hampton Art Stamp and Whipper Snapper Word stamp.
Now pictured below is from this past weekend at the Burgoo Festival held by the LaSalle County Historical Society. The festival offers a wide variety of things to do and see as a car show, musical entertainment, vendors, flea marketers and craftsmen selling their wares in downtown Utica.
But Burgoo is the highlight of the event, it's a hearty pioneer stew that gave its name to the festival. The stew contains beef and many kinds of vegetables. The burgoo is cooked outdoors over a wood-burning fire that gives it its special taste I am told. They have squads of volunteers who stir the stew as it cooks between 12 to 18 hours. After viewing the pots the stew was made in I will admit I didn't try it for the cooking conditions looked very unsanitary to me. However, many people told me it was actually very good. Maybe the rust from the iron pots added that hidden flavor.....
Jerry, Linda and Karl going into one of the speciality shops.
Pictured again Karl and Linda who attended the festival with us.

Silent night .....for my cat lover friends.
Here are a few Christmas cards for my cat lover friends and a gift tag. The stamp set I used was by Craft Lounge--Purr-fect! Wishes
Here is a cat story for you....today is my husbands birthday, so my daughter decided to make him a cake. She did just that with a bit of difficulty in frosting it ( its her first solo cake). Soon she was satisfied with her results and went into the bathroom to clean up.

Now BOBO the cat who was watching her all night make this cake, decided to check out her creation. He must have liked what he saw, for as I tell you this story she is making another cake to bring over for her Dad.
